David is an embedded engineer with experience successfully developing firmware, hardware, and software in the complete product lifecycle including startup and manufacturing. Being interdisciplinary allows him to contribute to a project from multiple angles. His experience is mainly in the bare metal realm of embedded systems development. For hardware this has mainly entailed low power, digital design, sensing, instrumentation, control, and actuation. He has experience with a wide variety of microcontrollers, compilers, and platforms. He advocates test driven development, clean code, and general robustness. He is a big fan of augmenting development with Python for testing, plotting, and automation.
