Pyroelectric sensors comprise of a material which is not only highly sensitive to thermal changes but will also pick-up mechanical and electro magnetic distortions. The latter can be very annoying since it is in many cases found only in the last stage of product design and requires sometimes major changes. However, we will show strategies to cope with the difficulties on PCB level as well as on sensor level.
