I will present the measurement infrastructure of the Svartberget research station in northern Sweden, and the sensor systems and data QA/QC methods we employ as part of ICOS (Integrated Carbon Observation System (https://www.icos-cp.eu/). I will talk about how the operational requirements influence sensor choice. I will focus on where I see possibilities for embedding new sensor and communication technologies within ICOS, and the opportunities for collaboration with OEMs.
