With smart buildings, facility management is turning to intelligent systems in commercial HVACs to prevent less system downtime. This presentation will discuss how sensor fusion, connectivity and microelectronics can improve building maintenance with more intelligence and energy efficient management techniques to predict early system failures; the advantages of early detection to prevent potential downtime; and the benefits of system-level demonstrators that combine sensors for condition monitoring and predictive maintenance in an HVAC system.
